I have worked in Mount joy for 35 YEARS! Wow, I’m still astounded by how the years go by. I started out going to college with a psychology major, then decided to work for several attorneys, and finally ended up in this wonderful industry. What a trip, and my clients often joke that I became a psychologist anyway! 🙂 It is a special bond when you find a hair designer or technician that you connect with, that you trust with how you look, and your personal life details. I consider it such a blessing to have had so many beautiful people come into my doors and my life through the years. You are amazing and have taught me so much. Thank you. I know the excellent designers/therapists I have on board as staff feel the same way.  We all so appreciate you and your loyalty and business, and we look forward to our future years together. It is a gift to be able to make you look and feel more relaxed, happy, de-stressed, and beautiful.  My favorite specialty? Definitely LASH EXTENSIONS!!! I have now been doing them about 15 years, and I love the way they transform a client’s look from basic to a beautiful glamour, and save so much time in the morning to look great. I think I get as excited as my lash clients do 

about their new look!

I’ve been a massage therapist since the fall of 2016 where I graduated from Lancaster School of Massage. I have now been at Shear Perfection for 6+ years!  As I’ve always had a calm and quiet personality, massage therapy is a career that fits me perfectly. I absolutely love being able to host a relaxing space for clients. It is a joy to promote relaxation and self-care to others, on a daily basis. I love being able to connect with my clients, on a personable level, and I tailor each massage to each individual client.   I am excited to continue to grow my career, over the years, by taking continuing education classes. I have received CE on hot stone, advanced reflexology and prenatal massages, so far.  Outside of my work space at the salon, I am a wife to my high school sweetheart and a mommy to my two sweet kiddos!  I look forward to partnering with you in your massage journey!!

Hi my name is Ellen but I also go by Ellie. Ever since I was 5, I told my mom that I wanted to be a Cosmetologist and that has never changed. I have lived in Maytown Pennsylvania my entire life. I attended Lancaster School of Cosmetology for both my cosmetology and esthetic licenses. In my free time, I love to spend time with my boyfriend, family, friends, and my three cats Cally, Luna, and Leo.  In the Salon, I love to do highlights, facials, body waxing, and makeup. I am also certified by Xtreme Lashes and Brazilian Blowout. I have also taken classes in speed waxing, babylights, triple threat makeup, and lash and brow tinting. I love helping my clients with their skin because I have very difficult skin myself.

I have been a hair designer for almost 10 years. I enjoy all aspects of my profession, and love clients leaving my chair looking and feeling better than before. I enjoy going to classes and learning new styles and techniques.  I have a lot of experience in razor cutting and texturized cuts, which are art forms in and of themselves.  I am also a mother of two wonderful children whom I love spending my free time with, and I really enjoy painting!

My name is Sara and I’ve been a hairstylist for 22 years. Before Shear Perfection I had a hair salon in my home for 13 years. It served me very well while my children were growing up. But I was ready to work with a team of stylists in order to continue learning and growing.
I really enjoy all aspects of my career. I specialize in haircuts, razor cuts, color and foils. I always strive for perfection which is perfect since I’m part of the shear perfection team. I love making my clients the best version of themselves when they sit in my chair. Mind, body, soul, and hair!
Hairstyling is all I’ve ever known. It has been part of my life ever since practicing on my dolls as a child and my friends as a teenager. That has never faltered. I graduated from York County School of Technology in the year 2000.
I am so excited to broaden my horizons in the spa industry. I couldn’t be more ready to grow in my craft.
During my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband of 20 years and our 2 beautiful teenaged daughters. We especially love the outdoors and anything near a lake, river, or creek. Water cleanses my soul!

Hi, my name is Jill and I am the receptionist for the salon. I have been here for 3 years. Prior to working at Shear Perfection I worked for 26 years in the Medicare insurance field.  This position allows me to keep busy and I learn something almost every day. I enjoy greeting clients and getting to know them. I love the atmosphere and working with the rest of the staff. We are a true team. I also have been a client at the salon for a number of years and my favorite product is Mixed Chicks leave in conditioner. It does wonders for my curls.  In my spare time I like to read and go to my granddaughter’s school and sporting events. I have a 3 year old border collie labradoodle mix named Addie who is a great companion. In my younger years I ran track and tried out for the Jr. Olympic in Philadelphia when I was in elementary school.
